Cheese and mushroom stuffed sausages
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. To turn the sausages into boats, I used an apple corer—its sharp serrated edges handled the task perfectly. If you don't have such a tool, you can make the indentations using a teaspoon. And that's it—your dish is ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients: slice the mushrooms, cut the onion into half-rings, and remove the casings from the sausages.
- 2
Step 2

Fry mushrooms with onion and vegetable oil until cooked, then season with salt and pepper to taste, but keep in mind that sausages are also salty.
- 3
Step 3

Cut each sausage in half lengthwise. Make a hollow in each half, but keep the walls at least 5 mm thick so they hold their shape. Finely chop the remaining sausage "centers."
- 4
Step 4

Add the sausage pieces to the mushrooms and simmer everything for a minute. The filling is ready.
- 5
Step 5

Fill the sardine boats with the filling.
- 6
Step 6

Drizzle with mayonnaise. You can add your favorite herbs.
- 7
Step 7

Sprinkle generously with grated cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 15–20 minutes.
- 8
Step 8

The stuffed sausages are ready! Serve hot, enjoy!
