Samsa with ham and cheese
Description
Perfect with tea and coffee. If you're short on time and guests are at the door, this recipe is ideal, especially since the ingredients are often already in your fridge. Instead of ham, you can use regular sausage, and hard cheese can be replaced with processed cheese. This makes a great snack or workday treat. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Step 1

1. I crack one egg into a bowl, setting aside one egg for brushing. I cut the cheese into pieces, or can grate it, and cut the ham into pieces the same size as the cheese.

Step 2

2. Wash the herbs and dry them with a paper towel. In a bowl, mix the egg with salt and spices (black pepper), and beat with a fork.

Step 3

3. To the beaten egg, add cheese, ham, and parsley, then mix. Roll out the puff pastry into a thin sheet, keeping it in a rectangular shape.

Step 4

4. Cut the dough into 16 equal pieces, place a tablespoon of filling on each piece closer to the edge.

Step 5

5. Cover the filling with the other edge and seal tightly, shaping it decoratively.

Step 6

6. I line the baking tray with parchment paper and place the samsa on it. In a separate bowl, I beat the remaining chicken egg and brush the pastry with a pastry brush.

Step 7

7. Place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15-25 minutes. Serve the samsa straight from the baking sheet.
