Honey moonshine
Description
The drink is quick and easy to prepare. If you have old honey that you no longer need, use it to make moonshine for your home celebrations. If you have experience in distilling, the process should already be familiar to you. This moonshine will have a pleasant honey aroma and won't cause a headache—if consumed in moderation. 1. Mix the honey into 4-5 liters of warm water until completely dissolved. Let it settle, then strain through a 3-4 layer cheesecloth. 2. Add the remaining warm water and sugar. Stir thoroughly. 3. Add the dissolved yeast. 4. Place in a warm, dark spot to ferment for 8-12 days. 5. Carefully siphon the fermented wash into another container, leaving the sediment behind. 6. Distill the wash very slowly. 7. It's best to purify the resulting moonshine with activated charcoal—add crushed charcoal tablets to the moonshine for about two days, then filter. This recipe yields approximately 3 liters of 45% alcohol moonshine. Serve chilled.
