Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Sort the dried fruits, rinse them under running water. Let the water drain, then transfer the dried fruits to a large container where you will make the mash. I do everything in a large narrow-necked bottle.
- 2
Step 2
Pour 3 liters of boiling water over the dried fruits and let them steep until almost completely cooled. The temperature should not exceed 30 degrees.
- 3
Step 3
Dissolve the yeast in a small amount of warm water and add it to the bottle. Then add sugar, stir until completely dissolved, and then add the remaining water.
- 4
Step 4
Tightly place a rubber glove with small holes over the neck of the container with the mash, and put the bottle in a warm, dark place until fermentation is complete. The process takes from 7 to 10 days.
- 5
Step 5
Stir the mash once a day to prevent mold from forming!
- 6
Step 6
When the glove falls off, the mash can be considered ready; it's time to filter it and start distillation. It must be distilled twice. As a result, you should get approximately 4 liters of good, smooth moonshine.
