Honey moonshine
Description
I'd like to point out right away that to make moonshine, you first need to prepare a wash. This recipe is specifically for a honey wash. To prepare it, get a large container with an airlock and have all the necessary ingredients ready in advance. For the wash to be suitable for making moonshine, it must ferment for a long time so that alcohol can develop. By the way, if you make the wash ferment quickly, you'll get a drinkable wash instead. Serve it chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Pour water into a saucepan, bring to a boil, and add honey.
- 2
Step 2

The honey must be natural, otherwise there will be no effect.
- 3
Step 3

Stir well with a wooden spoon until the honey is completely dissolved.

Step 4

When the foam on the surface stops appearing, add hops and spices—nutmeg and cinnamon—to the water. Remove the hot mixture from the heat, cover with a lid, and let it cool down to 29-30 degrees. By the way, it's better to get hops from a pharmacy or you can buy them at the market.

Step 5

While the honey-based mash for making moonshine is cooling, dissolve a teaspoon of yeast in a small amount of warm water and set aside to activate. When the mixture of water, honey, hops, and spices cools down to approximately 30 degrees, add the activated yeast, stir well, and place in a warm spot for fermentation.

Step 6

In a week, the mash will be ready for distillation into moonshine, about which you can read in more detail on the website.

Step 7

Here's how you can make moonshine from honey at home.
