Moonshine from oranges
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Generally, I'm not a big fan of drinking strong alcohol "straight." Besides, I've never trusted those folk craftsmen who can make moonshine out of anything. But I really liked this simple recipe for orange moonshine: it doesn't have a strong alcoholic smell, so it can be added to cocktails or baked goods. For example, I add it (in small amounts) to sponge cake batter. Can be served.

Step 1

1. Remove the zest from the oranges, being careful not to include the white part, as it adds unwanted bitterness. Pour vodka over the zest, cover tightly with a layer of gauze, and let it infuse in a warm, dark place for three weeks.

2. Then we will strain the darkened liquid from the jar. We no longer need the oranges.

Step 3

3. Take a full glass of the liquid and pour it into a small pot. Add sugar to it. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Let this syrup cool, then mix it with the remaining tincture. Let this liquid infuse for another two weeks in a warm, dark place.
