Jamie Oliver's Salsa

10 min4 serv.21 февр. 2026 г.

Description

Perfect with the table and with drinks. The longer Jamie Oliver's salsa sits, the spicier and hotter it tastes. For making it, choose ripe but not juicy tomatoes—meaty ones—so the dish doesn't turn watery. If you like, add celery stalks or other fresh herbs to the salsa. Serve with herbs and sauce.

Wash the tomatoes in water, cut each one in half, and remove the green cores. Dice into small cubes and transfer the chopped tomatoes to a deep container.

Rinse the green onion stalks and chop them finely, then add them to the container with the diced tomatoes. Rinse the chili pepper and chop it, but remove all the seeds — they are extremely bitter — then add the chopped pepper to the container.

Rinse and finely chop the parsley or cilantro. Peel the garlic cloves, finely chop them or press them into a container. Add the chopped herbs, ground coriander, salt, and ground black pepper.

Place the prepared dish in ramekins or bowls and serve. Remember to eat it immediately after cooking, before the tomato garnish releases its juice.
