Halloween Salad
Description
The recipe won’t take much time. The “Caprese” salad for Halloween differs from the traditional version only by the addition of olives. And, of course, by the way it’s presented. Ciabatta goes well with the salad. This appetizer will be an excellent starter for a children’s party. Besides, the little monsters can be made by the kids themselves. Serve the appetizer to the table.

1. Cut off the rounded sides and the top of the olives with a knife.

2. In the center of the cut olive slice (slightly “slanted”), pierce the slice using a thick cocktail straw.

3. Pierce the olives with the same straw and keep the “punched-out” part.

4. Insert the small dark part (the “pupil”) of the olive into the hole of the pierced green olive.

5. Make as many eyes (in pairs!) as you need. For one slice of tomato, use two eyes. Place a basil leaf on a plate, put a tomato slice on it, then a mozzarella slice cut in half (two halves), and put the “eyes” on top. Drizzle with olive oil and season with pepper.
