
Tomato Salad for Winter
Description
Winter preserves made at home. Cut the vegetables and pack them into jars with gelatin. Pour in the marinade and sterilize. If you like, add hot pepper for heat. Store in a cool, dark place.

Slice the pepper into half-moons.

Tomatoes, quartered.

Dice the onion and add to the tomatoes and peppers.

Add herbs.

Sprinkle 2 tsp of gelatin into the bottom of each jar.

Pack the salad into jars, pressing down firmly.

Prepare the marinade by bringing 1 L of water to a boil with 1 tbsp salt and 2 tbsp sugar. Pour it hot into the jars. Let the salad stand for a couple of minutes so the liquid seeps through everywhere, and top up if needed.

Sterilize for 10 min.

Pour a scant teaspoon of 9% vinegar into each jar.
