
Tomato and Cucumber Salad for Winter
Description
A simple way to preserve food for later. Pack sliced ingredients into sterilized jars. Cook the marinade and pour it over. Then sterilize and seal the jars. Store in a cool, dark place.

Prepare the necessary ingredients. All quantities are given for one 1-liter jar or two 0.5-liter jars.

Place washed leaves on the bottom of sterile jars.

Cut all the vegetables.

Fill the jars in layers or however you like, as you would a salad.

On top, sprinkle a pinch of mustard seeds and add dill umbels.

Bring the marinade water to a boil, add the salt and sugar, and simmer for 1 minute. Turn off the heat and pour in the vinegar. The marinade is ready.

Pour hot marinade into the jars, filling them to the brim.

Cover with lids and sterilize a 1-liter jar for 10 minutes, a 0.5 L jar for 7 minutes.
