
Sugar buns
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. These buns are great with a hot cup of tea or a glass of milk or kefir. For the filling, you can use white or brown sugar, as well as cinnamon, crushed nuts. At first glance, it may seem that creating such a pattern is very difficult, but in fact, there is nothing complicated about it.

Pour the milk and water into a bowl, heat in the microwave for half a minute or warm over the stove, then add a pinch of white sugar and the yeast. Stir well and let the mixture stand for 10 minutes.

After the required time, add another 0.5 cup of white sugar, 6 tablespoons of melted butter, flour, salt, vanilla extract, and egg; knead the dough.

Transfer the dough to a bowl, cover with a towel, and leave in a warm place for 3.5 hours.

In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter, add the nuts and sauté for a couple of minutes. Mix the remaining white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.

After the required time, divide the dough into 12 parts, roll each into a ball, and let rest for 10 minutes.

Roll out each ball into a small flatbread, then sprinkle with nuts and sugar filling.

Form a roll and join both ends together, then cut the roll in half without cutting all the way through. Turn both sides outward to form a heart shape, and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat the same steps with the remaining dough.

Cover the finished buns with foil and let them rest for 1 hour. Brush the buns with chicken egg yolk.

Bake the buns in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 15-20 minutes.
