Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. If you like, you can add vanilla sugar or ground cinnamon.
- 2
Step 2

Whisk the chicken egg in a bowl or salad bowl with sugar and salt for about 2–3 minutes.
- 3
Step 3

Melt the butter and pour it into a container. You can replace the butter with margarine, but not with spread.
- 4
Step 4

Mix everything together, then add baking powder and highest-grade wheat flour. If you like your cookies with a slight tang, add a pinch of citric acid or 1 tsp lemon juice. Mix everything thoroughly.
- 5
Step 5

Wrap the finished shortcrust pastry dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- 6
Step 6

Then divide it into equal portions and roll each into a ball. Pour coating sugar onto a plate and roll each piece in the sugar on one side, flattening it slightly.
- 7
Step 7

Place parchment paper on a baking sheet, and on it — the sugar-coated pieces, but at an equal distance from each other.
- 8
Step 8

Bake the cookies at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes on the middle rack. Transfer the baked cookies to a plate and let them cool; they will become crisp.
- 9
Step 9

Serve the baked goods at the table with your favorite drinks.
