
Brown Butter Sugar Cookies

1. Cut the butter into 4-5 pieces, place in a small saucepan, and cook over medium heat, stirring, until the butter turns light brown and develops a nutty aroma, for 4 to 7 minutes.

2. Pour the oil into a bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour. Beat the oil and brown sugar together using an electric mixer. Add vanilla, then add flour and salt, and mix at low speed until smooth.

3. Place the dough onto a sheet of parchment paper, shape into a log 30 cm long and 3.5 cm in diameter. Wrap in the paper and refrigerate for 1 hour.

4. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees with the rack in the center. Unroll the dough and coat it in powdered sugar.
