Description

Pour 3 cups of sugar with milk and place the pot over heat. Periodically stir the mixture to prevent it from sticking to the bottom. Simmer over low heat.

Meanwhile, lightly sauté the peanuts in a dry skillet.

After 30 minutes, the sugar-milk mixture will look like in the photo.

In a separate pan, melt the remaining half cup of sugar. This will serve as a coloring agent for the sherbet.

Now add the melted sugar to the milk mixture, along with the butter. Cook for several minutes, stirring constantly.
