Fish pie made with puff pastry
Description
Homemade pastries for tea. I especially love baking with puff pastry because it turns out very light and doesn't overpower the filling's flavor. Can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Rinse the fish fillet and cut into medium-sized pieces.
- 2
Step 2

Finely chop the onion. Slice the potatoes thinly.
- 3
Step 3

Take ready-made dough, roll it out quite thinly on a floured surface—conveniently right on parchment paper (you'll then be able to transfer the dough directly onto a baking sheet). In the end, you should have a rectangle approximately 40 cm by 25 cm.
- 4
Step 4

In the center of the dough rectangle, layer the ingredients: first the potatoes, then the onions, and finally the fish.
- 5
Step 5

Season the filling with salt and pepper. Make longitudinal cuts on the sides of the dough (down to the filling).
- 6
Step 6

Braid the resulting strips of dough to form a braid, thus enclosing the fish filling inside.
- 7
Step 7

Transfer the dough (together with the baking paper) onto a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40–50 minutes.
