Fish patties with cottage cheese and zucchini
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. In the recipe, I will not only tell and show, but also present the finished dish ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients for the cutlets. Choose any fish you like, the main rule being as few bones as possible! I usually buy these varieties: hake, pollock, or notothenia. Thaw the fish completely. Let's get started!
- 2
Step 2

Place the washed fish on a cutting board, belly side down. Using a sharp knife, make a cut along the backbone. Open the fish like a book and remove the spine.
- 3
Step 3

Cut the fish fillet so that the knife moves almost along the fish skin. Remove the membranes from the belly area. That's it!
- 4
Step 4

The weight of the clean fish meat is 300 g, so buy a little more at the store; I had 370 g. Peel the onion and garlic, then put them together with the fish fillet into a food processor or use a meat grinder.
- 5
Step 5

Grate the zucchini on a fine grater, squeeze out the juice well. Add to the fish mince.
- 6
Step 6

Add a raw egg, cottage cheese, salt, and ground black pepper. Mix the filling thoroughly.
- 7
Step 7

Now add flour, which can be replaced with semolina or breadcrumbs. Mix well. I use heaping spoonfuls.
- 8
Step 8

With wet hands, shape the patties into rounds or ovals, as you prefer. Fry over low heat using refined vegetable oil.
- 9
Step 9

Fish patties with cottage cheese and zucchini are ready! Enjoy them hot!
