Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients for making fish patties.
- 2
Step 2

First of all, make the croutons. Cut off the crust from the baguette or bun. Then cut the crumb into small cubes. Dry the croutons in the oven or in a skillet.
- 3
Step 3

Peel one onion, wash it, and finely chop. Place in a frying pan with vegetable oil and fry until translucent.
- 4
Step 4

Wash the fish fillet. Soak 50-60 grams of white bread or bun in boiled, cold water and squeeze out after 10 minutes. Pass the fish, bread, and fried onion through a meat grinder.
- 5
Step 5

Add chopped dill.
- 6
Step 6

Season the minced meat with salt to taste and mix well.
- 7
Step 7

Clean the mushrooms, wash them, and chop finely. Place them in a frying pan. Peel the onion, wash it, and chop finely as well. Add to the mushrooms.
- 8
Step 8

Sauté the mushrooms with the onion until cooked. Add a little salt.
- 9
Step 9

Form the patties. Take a portion of the fish mince and shape it into a patty. Place the mushrooms with onions in the center of the patty.
- 10
Step 10

Roll the meatball with mushroom filling into a ball. Roll it in flour. Beat the egg and dip the patty into the egg on all sides.
- 11
Step 11

Roll the meatball in breadcrumbs. We get a "Chestnut."
- 12
Step 12

Pour refined sunflower oil into a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Heat it well and place the cutlet in the oil. Fry for one minute on each side until a golden crust forms. Transfer to a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- 13
Step 13

Then place the patties in a baking dish and bake in an oven preheated to 185–190 degrees for 15 minutes. Chestnut fish patties are ready.
- 14
Step 14

Serve with boiled rice, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and pickles.
