Fish baked in salt
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Fish baked in salt, as I already mentioned, is very delicious. The gilt-head bream turned out extremely juicy and definitely not over-salted. In general, this recipe is suitable for cooking any white fish with the head. Yes! The fish must be white and must have the head :) The finished dish can be served at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

We wash our fish and dry them using paper towels.
- 2
Step 2

Now let's prepare the fish. Use a knife to cut open the belly and remove everything from inside. Be sure to remove the gills, as they give a bitter taste. They must be completely taken out. There's no need to scale the fish.
- 3
Step 3

Rinse the fish once again (including the inside) and dry it. Place lemon and spices inside (no need to add salt!).
- 4
Step 4

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, pour salt onto it, and place the fish on the salt.
- 5
Step 5

Completely cover the fish, except for the head and tail.
- 6
Step 6

Place the fish in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 40 minutes. Serve the fish with fresh herbs and chilled white wine or beer.
- 7
Step 7

The fish turns out very tasty and not too salty (as one might think). Enjoy :)
