
Fish in beet marinade
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. If you don't like the sour taste, you can omit the vinegar and replace it with aromatic spices and seasonings. If desired, you can add a couple of bay leaves, or some chopped parsley or dill. Serve the dish hot. The ready dish can be served at the table.

Prepare the listed ingredients. Clean, rinse, and gut the fish, removing the head, fins, and tail. Peel the vegetables and rinse them as well.

Cut the fish into portion pieces 2 cm thick. Salt each piece and coat in flour.

Fry the fish in vegetable oil in a skillet for 6-10 minutes until golden brown on each side.

Grate the carrots and beets on a grater with large holes.

Finely chop the onion and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown.

Add the grated vegetables to the pan and sauté for another 5-6 minutes, stirring.

Pour in the water and vinegar, add the ground black pepper, and simmer the vegetables for about 3-5 minutes. Then add the fish and simmer for another 3-5 minutes. Turn off the heat.
