Fish in foil boats
Description
The recipe won't take much time. You can use any fish; I had pike steaks, but ready-made fish fillet works as well. The dish turns out not only delicious but also healthy, perfect for those who watch their diet or simply want to diversify their everyday menu. You can add any seasonal vegetables, sprinkle the fish with grated cheese, or pour cream over it—there's plenty of room for creativity. Serve the dish hot, straight in the foil boats.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Step 2

Sprinkle the fish with aromatic spices, salt, ground pepper, and drizzle with lemon juice.
- 3
Step 3

Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons of sour cream, mix and let marinate for 30 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

Fold the foil in half and shape it into little boats with high sides. Choose the size of the boats according to the intended portion size.
- 5
Step 5

Grease the boats with oil and place a layer of thinly sliced potatoes, season the potatoes to taste.
- 6
Step 6

Place the onion, cut into half-rings, on top of the potatoes. Season the layer with salt and pepper to taste.
- 7
Step 7

Spread sour cream on top. Sour cream can be substituted with mayonnaise or plain yogurt if desired.
- 8
Step 8

Place the marinated fish pieces. Transfer the boats to a baking sheet or baking dish, cover with a piece of foil to prevent the fish from drying out, and bake at 200 degrees for about 45 minutes. Rely on the doneness of the potatoes as a guide.

Step 9

The fish in foil boats is ready. Sprinkle the dish with fresh herbs and serve immediately.
