Description
Simmering is a cooking method that involves slow, prolonged stewing. Simmered fish turns out very juicy and tender. Preparation: Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes, and fry in a skillet. Cut the fish into medium-sized pieces and fry in the skillet. Finely chop the mushrooms and sauté them. Layer the potatoes, mushrooms, pike-perch fillet, and capers in a casserole dish. Pour sour cream and mayonnaise over the top. Place in the oven and simmer, adding broth as needed, for 10–15 minutes. Sprinkle with grated cheese and chopped herbs, return to the oven, and bake until the cheese melts.
