Fish with potatoes in the oven
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. For baking fish with potatoes in the oven, it's better to use sea fish, as it has fewer bones. The choice of fish itself depends on your preferences. Choose hard cheese, for example, Parmesan. You can bake the fish not only with potatoes but also with other vegetables (carrots, celery, peppers). If you don't have fresh tomatoes, replace them with ketchup. I usually use mayonnaise, but sometimes I prepare the sauce myself: I mix sour cream with olive oil, an egg, spices, and blend everything well in a blender. This dish is perfect for festive tables with large gatherings: it's relatively quick to prepare and doesn't require much effort. The recipe for fish with potatoes in the oven is as follows: 1. Thaw the fish fillet and cut it into small pieces. Season with salt and pepper, and let it sit for 15 minutes. 2. Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly. 3. Slice the tomatoes thinly as well. 4. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. 5. Place half of the potatoes in a baking dish. Then layer with fish, followed by tomatoes, and top with the remaining potatoes. 6. Generously coat everything with mayonnaise and sprinkle with cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40 minutes. Ready! Serve hot, garnished with herbs or lettuce leaves. The dish is ready to be served.
