Boiled fish
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. The fish is very tender and delicate; I recommend serving it with an equally healthy and mild side dish, such as boiled rice, mashed potatoes, or pea purée. Cooked tilapia can also be used in salads. You can store the cooked fish in the refrigerator for several days. The dish is ready to be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Wash the tilapia fillet and set aside. Pour water (5 centimeters) into a frying pan or saucepan, add lemon, pepper, herbs, and season with salt.
- 2
Step 2
Bring the contents to a boil and add the boneless fish. Immediately after boiling, reduce the heat and cook, covered, for 10 minutes.
- 3
Step 3
Carefully remove the fish and transfer it to a plate, then wrap it in foil to keep it warm.
- 4
Step 4
Strain the liquid from the skillet and return it to the pan. Evaporate half of the liquid, then add the butter and continuously stir until a thick mixture forms.
- 5
Step 5
Whisk the sauce with a whisk over low heat and add the capers, turn off the heat and set the pan aside.
- 6
Step 6
Serve the fish with boiled rice and pour the prepared sauce over it.
