Turkey rolls in sauce
Description
You won't need a large amount of meat for this dish—just 350–400 grams of turkey fillet is enough. If desired, you can make more rolls for a festive table and freeze them at the preparation stage with the filling already inside.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Use tomato paste or red bell pepper paste.
- 2
Step 2

Rinse the turkey fillet under water, remove the tendons and membranes, and slice into pieces about 0.5–1 cm thick.
- 3
Step 3

Pound each turkey piece with a meat mallet. Rinse parsley and chop finely. Season the meat with salt and ground black pepper, then place a bit of the chopped herbs on one edge of each piece. In principle, the filling for the rolls can be anything: cottage cheese, cheese, mushrooms, etc.
- 4
Step 4

Roll up the meat into a roll. Prepare the remaining pieces in the same way.
- 5
Step 5

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Place the rolls seam-side down so the seam sears immediately and the rolls don't come apart. If you're unsure, secure them with toothpicks, remembering to remove the toothpicks after frying.
- 6
Step 6

Peel the onion and garlic, rinse in water, and finely chop. Remove the fried rolls onto a plate and add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet. Sauté for just 2-3 minutes.
- 7
Step 7

Add tomato paste or pepper paste, mayonnaise, and salt to the pan. Pour in water and bring the sauce to a boil. Do not substitute mayonnaise with sour cream, as dairy products often separate.
- 8
Step 8

Place the rolls in the sauce and simmer over low heat, covered, for about 10-15 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

Serve the dish by placing the turkey rolls on a plate, pouring the sauce over them, and garnishing with fresh herbs.
