Turkey rolls with cheese

Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. I make the rolls in two stages: first I prepare the marinade, then I roll up the rolls, fry them, and bake. These rolls are a great substitute for store-bought sausage; you can wrap them in foil or plastic wrap and store them in the refrigerator. The finished dish can be served at the table.

Instructions

    1. For the marinade: mix sugar with a tablespoon of salt, 10 black peppercorns, bay leaf, and garlic cloves; pour 3 cups of water over it. Place the fillet into the mixture and add more water (if needed) to cover the meat. Leave the meat in the marinade for 24 hours.

    2. I take out the fillet, rinse it and dry it thoroughly, then place it on plastic wrap and cover with another piece of plastic wrap, and pound the fillet.

    3. I season the fillet with salt and black pepper. In a bowl, I put breadcrumbs, squeeze in garlic, add sage and fennel. I sprinkle the roll with the resulting mixture and place hard cheese, grated on a coarse grater, on top.

    5. Place thin slices of bacon in a row on plastic wrap and wrap the roll with them, securing the ends with toothpicks.

    6. I thoroughly preheat a large skillet, add olive oil, and sear the rolls on all sides until golden brown (about 4 minutes per side). Then I transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 165-170 degrees and bake for 30-40 minutes.

    7. Remove toothpicks from the cooled roll, slice it into pieces, and serve.
