Turkey rolls

Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Turkey rolls are a versatile dish that can be served hot or cold, as an appetizer or even as a main course. The apple and celery filling will add a touch of freshness and tenderness to the dish. Serve the finished rolls with green beans, mashed potatoes, or a light creamy sauce. The dish is ready to be served.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Meanwhile, prepare the filling: dice the apple, celery, and onion. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the apple, celery, and onion to the butter and cook over medium heat for about 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened.

  2. 2

    Step 2

You can use ready-made large breadcrumbs; I always make homemade ones: I just fry them with salt and pepper, adding a little seasoning.

  3. 3

    Step 3

Add the breadcrumbs to the saucepan with the other ingredients, mix and remove from heat, let cool.

  4. 4

    Step 4

Rinse the turkey fillet, pat dry with paper towels, and carefully slice into rectangular pieces 0.5–1 cm thick.

  5. 5

    Step 5

Spread the filling over the turkey, sprinkle with grated cheese and herbs, then roll it up tightly into a roll. By the way, I recommend placing the fillet on plastic wrap—it will make rolling the roll much easier.

  6. 6

    Step 6

Then wrap each roll with a piece of bacon.

  7. 7

    Step 7

Place the rolls into a baking dish and put in the oven. Bake at 200 degrees Celsius for 3-5 minutes on each side, turning them halfway, until they are browned. Then reduce the temperature to 80 degrees and continue baking for another hour so the rolls are fully cooked through.

  8. 8

    Step 8

While the rolls are baking, you can prepare a creamy sauce for them or boil some vegetables. I like serving the rolls with asparagus or green beans.

  9. 9

    Step 9

Let the finished rolls cool, slice them into portion-sized pieces, and serve. What I like most about them is that they are delicious both hot and cold.
