Cinnamon Roll
Description
Perfect with tea and coffee. I prepare a roll from sweet yeast dough, making the dough using a mixer. To maintain the desired shape, I bake the roll in a loaf pan (brick shape). I add 2 tablespoons of cinnamon, but you can add more if you prefer a stronger aroma. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Warm ¼ cup of milk and dissolve the yeast in it, add a pinch of sugar and stir. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
- 2
Step 2
Prepare the dough using a mixer: pour the remaining milk into the bowl, add half of the sugar, butter, beat in the egg yolks, and add a pinch of salt, mixing each time after adding any ingredient.
- 3
Step 3
Add flour in portions until the dough comes away from the sides.
- 4
Step 4
Place the dough on a floured countertop and knead for 10 minutes. Transfer the dough to a bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1.5 to 2 hours.
- 5
Step 5
In a plate, mix the remaining sugar with cinnamon. Roll out the risen dough thinly, then sprinkle the dough sheet with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- 6
Step 6
Roll up the log and transfer it to a bread baking pan, previously lined with parchment paper. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for 20 minutes.
- 7
Step 7
Bake in a preheated oven at 175-180 degrees Celsius for 45-60 minutes, then remove the pan and let it sit for 5 minutes before transferring the baked goods to a wire rack to cool.
