
Fig roulade
Description
The bake is easy and quick to make. In my recipe for the sponge cake batter I used whole-grain flour, but you can use regular wheat flour instead. For the cream I used thick Greek yogurt and cream cheese. Dried figs and banana make the sponge cake sweet enough, so you need very little sugar. It goes well with tea or coffee.

Prepare the ingredients for making a fig roll.

Crack the chicken eggs into a bowl, add salt and sugar (50 grams).

Beat the eggs until fluffy.

Add sifted flour and baking powder.

Carefully mix the dough.

Pour the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Slice the banana into thin rounds, and cut the dried fig into small pieces. Arrange the banana and fig on the dough. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.

Take out the baked sponge cake.

Cover it with a towel.

Turn over and remove the parchment.

Immediately while still hot, wrap the sponge cake in a towel and leave it for about 30 minutes to cool.

For the cream, combine cream cheese, Greek yogurt, and sugar. Beat with a mixer.

Cut several fresh figs into small pieces. Set aside the remaining fig for decoration.

Unroll the sponge cake, spread it in an even layer with the prepared cream (set aside a little for decoration), and arrange the sliced figs.

Roll it into a roll using a towel and refrigerate for one to two hours to set.
