Puff pastry roll with chicken
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. To make the puff pastry chicken roll, I used a small piece of boiled chicken, which happened to be left over from making soup. By the way, you can also prepare the roll with fried chicken. I recommend adding various spices—the more, the better. Instead of mayonnaise, you can brush the roll with egg yolk. The roll is very tasty when served with sour cream.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Take out the dough and thaw it. Prepare the filling. Finely chop the onion and lightly fry it in oil.
- 2
Step 2

Chop the boiled chicken finely.
- 3
Step 3

Finely chop the cheese, garlic, and herbs.
- 4
Step 4

Mix the chicken, garlic, cheese, herbs, onion, and add mayonnaise.
- 5
Step 5

One sheet of dough is enough for three rolls. Therefore, cut it into three rectangles. Place the filling in the center.
- 6
Step 6

Roll up the rolls neatly and spread mayonnaise on top. Optionally, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- 7
Step 7

Place the rolls in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes. When the rolls are golden brown, they are ready.
- 8
Step 8

This is what the finished chicken strudel made with puff pastry looks like when sliced.
