Minced meat roll
Description
The recipe won't take much time. 1. To make the minced meat roll juicier at home, it's best to use several types of meat—fatty pork and lean beef, for example. Wash the meat, dry it, and cut it into very small pieces using a sharp knife. Place it in a deep bowl. 2. Peel the onion and finely chop it as well. Add it to the meat. 3. Soak the bread in milk or water beforehand. Then squeeze out the liquid and add the softened bread to the bowl. Mix thoroughly. 4. Add the egg and a little mustard to taste. 5. Combine all the spices and add them to the meat mixture. 6. Grate the cheese on a medium grater. There are two ways to make a minced meat roll: you can either mix the cheese into the meat mixture or use it as a filling. In this case, the cheese will be added directly to the meat. 7. Chop the washed herbs finely and add them to the mixture as well. Mix well until you get a uniform mass. 8. Lightly grease the foil with vegetable or butter and place the prepared mixture onto it. 9. Using the loose edges of the foil, shape the mixture into a roll, pressing it firmly. For extra security, wrap it in another layer of foil and place it into an ovenproof dish. 10. Bake the roll for at least 1 hour, then check for doneness and, if necessary, leave it in the oven a bit longer. 11. While still hot, you can roll the finished meat roll in grated cheese or drizzle it with your favorite sauce. Serve hot.
