Lavash Roll on a Skillet
Description
The recipe won't take much time. At first glance the whole process seems complicated, but in reality everything happens very quickly on a hot skillet. The main thing is not to forget to dip each piece of lavash in egg, spread the filling evenly on it, and roll it into a roll. The finished roll should be fried on all sides and steamed for a couple of minutes under a lid. That's it—the roll is ready! It's especially delicious served with a glass of milk or strong black tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. Cut the lavash into three pieces crosswise so you get three wide strips whose width matches the diameter of your frying pan.
- 2
Step 2

Grate the cheese, finely chop the ham and dill. Beat the egg with two tablespoons of water, a pinch of salt, and pepper.
- 3
Step 3

Place the skillet over low heat. Dip a strip of lavash in the egg so that the lavash is soaked on both sides.
- 4
Step 4

Place the lavash in the pan as shown in the photo, and immediately fill it with the filling: cheese, ham, and dill. Roll it up with your hands or a spatula as the lavash fries into a roll.
- 5
Step 5

When the edge of the lavash is golden, move it aside and place the next sheet overlapping (after dipping it in egg first). Spread the filling evenly all the way to the end of the lavash.
- 6
Step 6

When the third sheet has been rolled with the filling into a roll, fry it well on all sides until golden brown.

Step 7

I leave the finished roll under the lid for a couple more minutes—I really like it steamed and soft. Cut into 2–3 pieces and serve with a cup of tea or coffee. Enjoy!
