Apple roses for tea
Description
Perfectly complements tea and coffee. When I first saw these little roses, I was sure I wouldn't be able to make them myself. But when I found a step-by-step photo recipe, the baking was ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Thaw the yeast puff pastry so it's easy to roll out.
- 2
Step 2

Cut the apples in half and remove the core. Slice the apples thinly. Place the slices on a plate and microwave for 2–3 minutes, depending on your microwave's power (my microwave is 1650 W, so I needed 2 minutes at maximum power). The apple slices should become soft.
- 3
Step 3

Roll out the dough as thin as possible.
- 4
Step 4

Cut it into 3 cm wide strips. Brush each strip with plum syrup, which will give the rosettes a slight tanginess.
- 5
Step 5

Place overlapping apple slices onto a strip of dough, as shown in the photo.
- 6
Step 6

Secure with dough.
- 7
Step 7

Now roll the dough into a roll to form a rose.
- 8
Step 8

Place the rosettes into a greased muffin tin.
- 9
Step 9

Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
- 10
Step 10

Remove the finished rose cookies from the mold and dust with powdered sugar.
