
Carrot Roses
Description
Suitable for both special occasions and everyday meals. For this recipe, choose carrots with a large diameter. One large carrot yields approximately 2–3 roses. The carrots should be cut thinly; it's easier to do this using a mandoline or shredding grater. It can be served warm or chilled.

Prepare all the ingredients.

Peel the carrots and slice them into thin rounds. Soak the carrots in salted water for 30 minutes so the rounds become elastic and soft.

Then rinse the carrot rounds in cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

Arrange 15-20 carrot slices in a straight row. Each subsequent slice should cover half of the previous one.

Roll the carrot row into a roll, starting from the very first slice. Then secure the roll with toothpicks.

Spread the petals of the carrot rose. Toothpicks can be neatly trimmed or hidden with greenery.
