Pork Rouladen

Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Romsteak is usually made from beef, but it's also quite tasty when made from pork. For making pork romsteak, take a lean piece of meat, preferably without large sinews. Optionally, you can add a couple of tablespoons of flour to the breadcrumbs. Serve the finished dish at the table.

    Cut the meat for romsteak across the grain into slices 1–1.5 cm thick. Lightly pound. Season with salt and pepper (about one pinch of salt and one pinch of pepper per piece).

    Beat the eggs slightly in a bowl. Pour breadcrumbs into flat plates and (optionally) flour. Egg sticks better to flour, so I use it.

    Coat the meat in flour on both sides.

    Then dip the meat into the beaten eggs.

    Coat in breadcrumbs (on both sides as well).

    Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a skillet. Fry the meat over medium heat for 5-6 minutes (until golden brown).

    Then turn the rumpsteak and fry on the other side for another 5-6 minutes.

    Serve the ready-made pork rumpsteak with herbs and vegetables.
