Instructions

Step 1

1. To prepare the rolls, you need to purchase all the necessary ingredients. Wasabi sauce can be bought ready-made, or you can purchase a dry mix and prepare the sauce immediately before serving to the desired consistency (thicker or thinner).
- 2
Step 2

2. The rice needs to be soaked and left for some time, then rinsed thoroughly (several times). If you do not have special sushi rice, you can use regular round rice.
- 3
Step 3

3. I had a dry mix for the sauce. I poured water over it and brought it to the desired consistency.
- 4
Step 4

4. I really like the wasabi to be of medium consistency.
- 5
Step 5

5. I chose the classic filling for the rolls: lightly salted salmon, cucumber, and Philadelphia cream cheese. You can also use shrimp, avocado, eel, tuna, etc.
- 6
Step 6

6. To roll the rolls, you will need a bamboo mat (without it, making delicious Japanese delicacies is simply impossible). Wrap it in plastic wrap.
- 7
Step 7

7. Add rice vinegar to the prepared cooled rice and gently mix everything together.
- 8
Step 8

8. Place the nori on the bamboo mat glossy side down, spread the rice on top, and put our filling in the center.
- 9
Step 9

9. Start rolling the rolls, without pressing too hard (so the filling doesn’t fall out). Once you have a tube shape, remove the bamboo mat.
- 10
Step 10

10. Now all that's left is to cut the rolls into pieces of the desired size.
- 11
Step 11

11. Serve the rolls with your hands, along with soy sauce and wasabi.
