Rolls with canned tuna
Description
Perfect with meals and drinks. I came up with this canned tuna roll recipe myself. Although rolls like these are made in almost every sushi bar. But they more often use avocado or cucumber rather than carrot. You can follow their example. For me, canned tuna pairs better in flavor with boiled carrot. Cook, experiment, and enjoy your homemade rolls. Can be served warm or chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Cook the rice. Do not salt it; the rice should be plain.
- 2
Step 2

Also boil the carrots. Cut them into thin matchsticks lengthwise. Prepare the tuna and drain its liquid.
- 3
Step 3

Place the nori sheet smooth side down.
- 4
Step 4

Spread the rice on the nori sheet. Leave a little empty space on the left side so it’s easy to secure the sheet when rolling the roll. Place the carrot and tuna on top.
- 5
Step 5

Carefully roll up the roll.
- 6
Step 6

Cut it into pieces of equal thickness. Serve the canned tuna rolls with ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce.
