Penne with cottage cheese baked in the oven
Description
The recipe won't take much time. If you don't have ready-made dough, here is a recipe. Prepare yeast dough as follows. Dissolve yeast (20-30 g) in a glass of warm milk. Beat one egg with half a glass of sugar, add to the yeast, then mix in about four glasses of flour and a pinch of salt. At the very end, add four tablespoons of vegetable oil or melted butter/margarine. Knead the dough, leave it in a warm place to rise, then punch it down and let it rise once more.
Instructions

Step 1

Divide the yeast dough into 3 parts. Roll each part into a large flatbread.

Step 2

Mix the cottage cheese with sugar and 1 egg white. The cottage cheese will release a little whey and become moist. Cut the entire dough sheet into 4-6 pieces. Place 1 teaspoon of filling on the wide edge of the dough.

Step 3

Roll it up like a croissant, from the wide end to the narrow end. Tuck the edges of the dough inward, slightly stretching them. This will form horns.

Step 4

Place the finished pastries on a baking sheet. I lined mine with parchment paper. Brush each croissant with beaten egg, but pure egg yolk is better. It's the yolk that gives them their bright golden color on top.

Step 5

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake until done. Serve cooled.
