1. Before you begin, turn on the oven (set to 180 degrees) and let it heat up. Place the dough on the work surface and roll it out slightly. Cut it into fairly large rectangles like this.

2. Make cuts along the edges with a sharp knife.

3. Place the filling in the center of each square.

4. Pull each corner towards the center.

5. Press firmly, securing all four corners. Brush the cookies with beaten egg, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and put in the oven.
