Christmas gingerbread aromatic house
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. A gingerbread house will bring great delight to your children (and, I suspect, not only to them). It's a real piece of art! This delicacy will be hundreds of times better than any cake or even the most luxurious candies. For decoration, you can use colorful sprinkles, coconut flakes, or holiday cake toppings—your imagination is the limit.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Put butter and granulated sugar into a bowl.
- 2
Step 2

2. Add chicken egg yolks to the butter and granulated sugar.
- 3
Step 3

3. Mash the mixture thoroughly with a fork until a uniform consistency is achieved.
- 4
Step 4

4. In a separate bowl, I mix 700 grams of pre-sifted flour, baking soda, and ground ginger, and stir everything together.
- 5
Step 5

5. Transfer the dry mixture to the remaining ingredients, mix again.
- 6
Step 6

6. Melt the honey (or use liquid honey from the start) and add it to the dough.
- 7
Step 7

7. I slightly warm the milk and pour it into the bowl with the other ingredients.
- 8
Step 8

8. Knead a soft and elastic dough, let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

9. Divide the gingerbread dough into six equal parts.
- 10
Step 10

10. Roll out each piece with a rolling pin into a sheet about 5-7 millimeters thick.
- 11
Step 11

11. I have special baking molds for making this little house, but if you don't have any, you can cut templates out of cardboard. Place the dough into the mold, trim the edges.
- 12
Step 12

12. I fill the remaining molds in the same way.
- 13
Step 13

13. Place the molds in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15-25 minutes.
- 14
Step 14

14. I carefully remove the baked gingerbread house pieces from the molds and transfer them to a plate to cool.
- 15
Step 15

15. In a mixer, combine the chilled egg whites with powdered sugar to make a thick icing. Transfer it to a piping bag. Use it to glue together the pieces of the gingerbread house.
- 16
Step 16

16. Decorate the house's roof with colorful dragees, cut windows and doors from marshmallow, then apply icing to the windows and doors to resemble fallen snow. Pour icing onto a tray, place the gingerbread house on it, and leave it to dry completely for several hours.
