Christmas jam pie
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. 1. First, prepare the dried fruits. If the cake is intended for adults only, you can soak them in a small amount of brandy or liqueur to taste. You can use not only dried fruits but also dried berries, for example. 2. Rub the butter with half of the sugar. 3. Separately, beat the eggs with the remaining sugar until fluffy. The amount of sugar depends on the sweetness of the jam. 4. In a deep bowl, combine the butter, eggs, and jam. Mix well. 5. Add the dried fruits. 6. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and spices. I highly recommend adding aromatic spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg, as they give the cake its special festive aroma. Mix the dry ingredients. 7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the bowl in small portions, mixing well. 8. Grease a heatproof baking dish with butter and dust it with flour. 9. Transfer the batter into the prepared dish, smooth the surface, and place it in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F). 10. Bake until done (about 50–55 minutes), checking doneness with a skewer or toothpick. Before serving, you can dust the cake with powdered sugar or decorate as desired. Happy holidays! Serve with tea or coffee.
