Christmas turkey pie
Description
Homemade pastries for tea. In many countries, turkey is a traditional holiday dish; its meat is dietary and filling. Here, it's difficult to buy a whole bird since chicken is more popular, but turkey breast or thigh is readily available. That's why one of my favorite holiday pie recipes features turkey. I prepare it very rarely, usually only for special occasions. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions

Step 1

1. I take the dough out of the packaging and leave it to thaw, while in the meantime I'll prepare the filling. I wash the white part of the leek and slice it into half-rings. I sauté it in a pan with sunflower oil until soft.

Step 2

2. I wash the mushrooms and cut them into large pieces, then add them to the pan with the onion.

Step 3

3. Cut the turkey fillet into pieces (of any size) and add to the onions and mushrooms after all the liquid has evaporated. Season with salt and pepper to taste, pour in the cream, and cook until the meat is done.

Step 4

4. Roll out the dough, but not too thin, transfer it to a baking pan, and use your fingers to spread it evenly over the entire surface. Prick the dough with a fork to prevent it from puffing up.

Step 5

5. Place the beans on the dough, which has been previously lined with parchment paper, and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 15 minutes.

Step 6

6. After 15 minutes, I take out the dough, remove the beans and paper, add the filling, spread it evenly, sprinkle with finely chopped herbs and grated hard cheese.

Step 7

7. Bake the pie at 200 degrees for 15-30 minutes, depending on the type of cheese, since it needs to melt.
