Christmas Chicken Meatloaf Pie
Description
The recipe won't take much time. 1. First, pass the chicken fillet through a meat grinder. Place it into a deep bowl, add minced ginger, salt to taste, pepper, and spices. Mix well and set aside for a while so the meat mixture can marinate slightly. 2. To prepare the dough, combine sifted flour, salt, and cold butter grated on a grater. Mix until you get a uniform crumbly texture. Add a little ice water and knead into a smooth dough. Roll it into a ball and place into the refrigerator. 3. Heat a little vegetable oil in a frying pan. Peel the onion, chop into small cubes, add to the pan and sauté, stirring, until translucent. 4. Wash the tomatoes, dice them and add to the pan. Fry together with the onion for about 5 minutes. 5. Add the meat mixture to the pan. Constantly stir to avoid large lumps. Fry over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Then remove the filling from the pan and let it cool. 6. Take the dough out of the refrigerator. Set aside about one-third of it, roll out the rest thinly and place into an ovenproof dish. 7. Spread the filling evenly over the dough. 8. Use the reserved dough to make thin strips and place them on top in a lattice pattern. 9. Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for about 35–40 minutes. May your holidays be bright and delicious! The pastry is ready. Serve at the table.
