Cottage cheese rolls
Description
The crescent rolls turn out incredibly tender inside, crispy and golden brown on the outside. You can also prepare them with any filling, such as sweetened condensed milk, jam, or nuts. My family has grown very fond of these little treats, and I'm sure your family will enjoy these cottage cheese crescent rolls too. So, take a look—your baked goods are ready. Serve them at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Mix the butter and cottage cheese with a blender or mash with a fork until smooth. Use ingredients at room temperature, as they will be easier to work with.
- 2
Step 2
To the resulting mixture, sift in the flour and add the baking powder. The amount of flour may vary depending on the type of cottage cheese you've chosen. The dough should be crumbly yet elastic. Place the finished dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- 3
Step 3
When the dough has cooled, divide it into two parts. Roll each part into a circle 1-2 mm thick.
- 4
Step 4
Mix the sugar and vanilla sugar and evenly sprinkle over the rolled-out dough circles.
- 5
Step 5
Cut each circle into triangles. Start rolling the dough into rolls beginning from the wide edge of the triangle. From one portion of dough, I get 20 rolls.
- 6
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, line the baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it with oil.
- 7
Step 7
Sprinkle the croissants with sugar and place them on a baking sheet. Before putting them in the oven, brush each croissant with beaten egg.
- 8
Step 8
Bake the croissants for about 30 minutes at 180 degrees until a golden crust forms.
