
Shortcrust pastry crescents
Description
Delicious baked goods for the whole family. Crescent rolls made from shortcrust pastry are familiar to many from childhood. They are easy to make, and the taste is divine. Any thick jam works. Enjoy! These crescent rolls are delicious served with milk, tea, or coffee. They can be served with tea or coffee.

Step 1

1. Sift the flour into a bowl, rub it together with butter and sugar. Add sour cream and yolks. Beat with a mixer or knead well with a spoon. Divide into 3 parts and place in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours. After the specified time, select one part. Roll it out thin (2–3 mm thick), place a large plate on top, cut out a circle, then divide it into 8 pieces. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of the wide part of the triangle.

2. Starting from the thick edge of the triangle, roll the croissant. Seal the ends and fold them. Place the croissants on a parchment‑lined baking sheet.

3. The prepared croissants on the baking sheets (you’ll get two) should preferably be placed in the cold for about an hour, but it’s not required. So, bake the short‑crust dough croissants in a preheated 190 °C oven for 15–17 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle the finished croissants with powdered sugar.
