Start by preparing the necessary ingredients. Keep in mind that a small amount of sunflower oil will be additionally required for frying the pancakes.

Pour the water into a deep bowl, dissolve the sugar and citric acid in it, then add the bran and mix everything thoroughly.

Prepare a dry mixture of the two types of flour and baking soda separately, then sift it simultaneously into the water with bran.

Mix all the ingredients well until you get a uniform dough; the dough should have the consistency of thick sour cream.
