
Rye cookies
Description
If you like, you can add sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, or chopped nuts to the dough — it will taste even better. Save this recipe for later.

Lay out all the ingredients on the table before you start cooking.

Crack an egg into a bowl and add the sugar. Whisk everything together well.

Pour the butter melted in a saucepan over low heat.

Pour in the kefir and add the baking soda. Whisk until combined.

Add all the rye flour.

Knead a soft dough that should not stick to your hands. If necessary, add a little rye flour.

Divide the dough into 3–4 parts for convenience. Lightly dust the work surface with a small amount of rye flour. Roll out a portion of the dough into a thin sheet (about 3 mm thick) and cut out the future cookie shapes with a cookie cutter.

Arrange all the cookie portions on a baking sheet lined with baking parchment. Place the filled baking sheet in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake the cookies for about 10–12 minutes.
