
Rice croquettes with mushrooms
Description
The recipe won't take much time. You can use wild mushrooms for this recipe, but they need to be boiled beforehand. Choose round-grain rice with higher starch content; the dish won't work with loose-grain rice. Serve with tomato sauce or any other sauce. Serve hot.

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Cook the rice in advance in a large amount of salted water.

Peel and chop the onion and garlic, then wash and mince them. Wash the mushrooms and chop them as well. Sauté the onion in a small amount of oil, then add the mushrooms and garlic. Fry for 3-4 minutes and season with salt to taste.

Add starch to the rice and mix thoroughly. If the rice is not salty enough, season to taste. The photos are taken on a cutting board for clarity, but we will work in the palms of your hands. Be sure to wet your hands with water. Take a spoonful of rice and place it on your palm. Flatten it into a patty.

Place about 1 tsp of mushrooms in the center.

On top, place the rice and firmly press everything together into a single patty. Don't be afraid to press firmly. Just make sure your hands are moist.

Then coat the cutlets in breadcrumbs and fry on both sides until golden brown in a small amount of vegetable oil.
