Rice casserole with onion cannelloni
Description
Homemade baked dish for tea. Anyone of you can easily prepare this casserole. It requires very few ingredients—you can even use leftovers from yesterday's meal. You can also add any vegetables you like to this casserole: tomatoes, bell peppers, celery stalks. The casserole will become brighter, more aromatic, and tastier. If you'd like to make a larger casserole, place the onion cannelloni with filling in the middle, between layers of rice—the dish will look even more interesting and juicy when sliced. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions

Step 1

1. Cut off a portion of the leek stem and separate it into tubes. Then, scald the tubes with boiling water.
- 2
Step 2

2. Grease a baking dish (preferably rectangular) with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Place the cooked rice in the dish, then season with pepper and your favorite spices.
- 3
Step 3

3. For stuffing the onion rings, you can use any sausage or ham, or even better, a variety. I had leftovers from a holiday, so I diced them. For convenience, it's better to cut into strips, the size matching the length of the onion rings.

Step 4

4. Fill the rolls with sausage and place them on top of the rice.

Step 8

8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes, until a cheesy crust forms.

Step 9

9. Take out the casserole, slice it, and surprise your family.
