Cake recipe
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. For such fondant cakes, you can bake any cake layers you prefer. In this case, they are cocoa-flavored, but you could use a simple vanilla sponge, for example. The same goes for the filling. The cake decorating process is simple, though quite meticulous. I recommend starting it well in advance to ensure you'll definitely finish in time for the celebration :)
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. We will need two cake layers. One larger, the second one can be slightly smaller.
- 2
Step 2

2. The cake layers need to be baked in advance so they cool down completely. From the smaller one, we cut out two pieces like this.
- 3
Step 3

3. This is how they will be placed on the main cake layer. By the way, carefully cut the cake layer, soak it with syrup if desired, and spread with cream.
- 4
Step 4

4. Roll out the green marzipan thinly and place it on the serving tray.
- 5
Step 5

5. Wrap the cake layer with marzipan.
- 6
Step 6

6. Next, you need to cover the previously cut-out parts with fondant.
- 7
Step 7

7. Place it on top of the cake, securing with a toothpick or simply gluing it with water. Repeat with the second part.
- 8
Step 8

8. Next comes the most time-consuming stage—decorating the cake in the "Minecraft" style. Roll out the white and green fondant and cut it into neat cubes.
- 9
Step 9

9. Attach the parts by moistening the brush with water.

Step 10

10. Here's what you get in the end.

Step 11

11. And for decoration, you can make a figurine of the birthday person, for example :)
