
Rye Bread Recipe with Yeast
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. Rye bread is often made with seeds (pumpkin or sunflower), caraway, and other spices. You can bake the bread in the oven or use a bread machine if you have one. This recipe yields a golden loaf with a crispy crust, yet slightly moist inside. Serve with tea or coffee.

Place flour and salt into a bowl, mix well. Boil the kettle and pour 400 milliliters of water into the dry ingredients, stir and let stand for several minutes to cool down.

Dissolve the yeast in 50 milliliters of water, add molasses, rye flakes, and pumpkin seeds.

Combine all ingredients and mix. Grease the table with sunflower oil and transfer the dough onto the surface, knead for about 5 minutes.

Sprinkle a bowl with flour, transfer the dough into it, cover with a damp towel, and leave at room temperature for several hours (preferably overnight).

After the required time, transfer the dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and make lattice-shaped cuts. Place a tray with hot water under the bread baking sheet.
